British rapper, songwriter, producer, music video director, and artist. Born: 19 September 1982 in London, England, UK. Adenuga is better known by his stage name Skepta for his grime music work. He emanates from Tottenham, North London, UK and is of Nigerian descent. Originally a DJ from Tottenham-based grime collective, Meridian Crew, he began MC-ing shortly before they disbanded in 2005. After which, alongside his brother , they joined for a short period of time before becoming founding members of . His album, "" (2016), was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize (2016), for which it later won. He is the older brother of Jamie Adenuga aka (rapper) and sister to (Apple Music 'Beats 1' DJ).
