Quand La Ville Dort, the second studio album by French band Niagara, was released in 1987 and is considered a seminal work in the synthpop genre. The album features the soaring vocals of lead singer Muriel Moreno and the innovative production techniques of guitarist Daniel Chenevez.

The album opens with the pulsating beat of "Tchiki Boum", a catchy track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. "Pendant Que Les Champs Brûlent" is a slower, more introspective song that showcases Moreno's emotional range. "Je Dois M'en Aller" is a standout track, with its haunting melody and evocative lyrics.

The album's title track, "Quand La Ville Dort", is a masterpiece of atmospheric synthpop. The song builds slowly, with layers of electronic sounds building to a dramatic climax. "J'ai Vu" is another standout track, with its driving beat and infectious chorus.

About Niagara

Muriel Laporte a.k.a meets with in the early 80s while she's pursuing her studies in the city of Rennes, France. In 1985, Polydor release their first 12" called , and their guitarist José Tamarin leaves the formation shortly afterwards. They'll release quite some hits afterwards until they finally split in 1992 during a Tour in Sweden.
