Review by Spencer Groenenboom

The Celtic Minstrel is a beautiful album that showcases the talents of James Galway, The Chieftains, and Emily Mitchell. The album is a collection of traditional Celtic songs, arranged and performed with precision and passion.

The album opens with "The Galway Girl," a lively and upbeat tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Galway's flute playing is as impressive as ever, and the backing of The Chieftains and Mitchell's harp adds depth and richness to the sound.

Throughout the album, the musicians display their mastery of Celtic music. "The Lark in the Clear Air" is a hauntingly beautiful ballad, and "The Foggy Dew" is a rousing, patriotic anthem. Each track is a testament to the musicians' dedication to their craft.

The album closes with "Danny Boy," a classic Irish tune that is performed with grace and sensitivity. Galway's flute and Mitchell's harp blend together perfectly, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
