Review by JackieMes Yadesma

Nickelodeon, the album by Hudson Ford, is a classic example of the folk-rock genre. The album was released in 1973 and contains ten tracks that showcase the duo's songwriting talent and musical prowess.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Pick Up the Pieces," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The track features a driving rhythm section, jangly guitars, and the duo's signature harmonies.

Other standout tracks on the album include "Floating in the Wind," a laid-back folk ballad, and "When You Know the Game," a bluesy number with a catchy chorus.

Fresh from the success of their "Part Of the Union" with The Strawbs, the duo quickly rattled off a couple of far superior singles in "Pick Up the Pieces" and "Take It Back", both included here. The album has a bright, sparkling pop-rock sound but still retains some folk and blues roots; the rest of the songs are good and varied and contribute to an enjoyable and yet unusual type of album in the annals of British 70's rock.

Excuse my French, but it is fucking ridiculous NO ONE has heard of this group. They were quite big in the mid seventies. So was Robin Trower. Ha! Heard of him? Yeah.
Got me worried for a minute.

"Angels" (starting at 3:36, ending at 6:43), is a very great song stuck on a very mediocre album (why oh why couldn't it have been a hit?). To me, it sounds like an inspired amalgam of Mott The Hoople's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfwVfEXJhQQ) or David Bowie's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rajof9Qigos) "All The Young Dudes
